A squeeze page is a specially designed web page that has a single function: to get the visitor to perform one action. That one action should be to sign up to something (a newsletter, get a prize or incentive, register for a course or workshop) where they leave their contact details in exchange, or to buy a product (from a limited selection of one item, such as size, colour or whatever) as a result of an AdWords campaign.

• Take away any distracting elements of your web page such as links or tabs.
• Any content or text should be totally focused on performing the one action.
• The sign up form or purchase button should be clearly presented, and can be visible more than once throughout the persuasive text.
• To help with persuasion, offer testimonials and case studies to back up your case, but with no outgoing links.
• Don't make your squeeze page too long, or the visitor will loose interest.
• Make sure the main object of the squeeze page is visible 'above the fold', even if you do repeat it later.
• Work on your headlines to encourage a better response.
